Finished grade 6, but is the owner of 3 exclusive patents and dozens of other useful inventions – he is the “barefoot” inventor Trinh Dinh Nang.

From the hazardous medical waste incinerator
Meeting him right at the “headquarters” of “exclusive ideas and inventions” born on the land near the forest in Vinh Phuc province, also the headquarters of Trinh Nang Hi-tech Co., Ltd., he passionately told me about his own scientific journey.
The name Trinh Dinh Nang – a “barefoot” scientist is no longer a strange name in the Vietnamese scientific community, because his journey to “doing science” all begins with passion, self-study, through documents without going through any school.
After finishing grade 6, his family was poor, and Mr. Nang had to stop studying. After that, he went to work as a steel worker in Thai Nguyen. In the first time, he went to supplementary training in mechanical engineering for 18 months.
He said, these are the catalysts that instilled in him a passion for creating machines later. In 2000, he opened a research room by himself, purchased furniture and modern equipment, and hired 3 more assistants.
He recounted that this time he studied deeply the separation of metal ores for gold and silver according to a new technology. How much of his accumulated money was used to buy research equipment.
After more than a year of putting gold into the test furnace, he ran out of money, his “research center” was forced to dissolve. The unfinished research work was also shelved. Although his research was unsuccessful, it gave him a lot of knowledge about heat generation in the manufacturing process. This is the foundation on which he later launched a valuable series of inventions.
Among the creative assets of this 60-year-old inventor, first of all, there is a hazardous medical waste incinerator – patented by the National Office of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Science and Technology (Science and Technology). 2012. Garbage incinerator capable of saving fuel up to 80% compared to imported products of the same type is one of his favorite “brainchild”.
The product applies the new technology of continuous combustion, spraying fire (instead of spraying oil) on the burning object. In the incineration stage, the device uses closed nanotechnology to thoroughly decompose smoke, dust and odors. The temperature in the center of the furnace can be up to 1,800C, so the waste treatment speed is very high.
Even though he is only a mechanical engineer, when talking about his incinerator project, Mr. Nang speaks loudly of his chemical and physical knowledge, which makes the opposite person really admire.
Mr. Trinh Dinh Nang affirmed: The medical waste incinerator system is a complete system that can be transported just by connecting electricity and water, building a small tank and can treat the water environment. All incinerators in Vietnam do not have a pressure equalization furnace like this system. The new technology of the furnace is continuous combustion, injecting fire into the combustion object, unlike other furnaces, which is to inject oil. At the center of the furnace, the temperature can reach 1,800 degrees Celsius. The burning time is also very fast. The long life of the burner is durable and there are no technical problems or clogged oil lines.
With many efforts, the medical waste incinerator system of the inventor Trinh Dinh Nang won the first prize of the Technical Innovation Contest of Bac Kan province in 2012. In the same year, the product was voted as a product by the Ministry of Industry and Trade by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. typical rural industry in the north.
To curcumin nanotechnology and Endo Fullerene super semiconductor mixture
Not only at medical waste incinerators. With many years of working in the mountainous area of Bac Kan, he always worries about the villagers when he harvests tons of turmeric, but the product output is very poor. Therefore, he again embarked on research into curcumin nano-extraction technology.
Curcumin extraction technology and design of the entire high-tech synchronous production line with “input” is yellow turmeric, “output” is pure nano curcumin. This is the purest synthetic curcumin because the content reaches the highest level of 95-98% and is completely soluble in water.
Along with that, he also launched functional products to improve health and prolong human cell life such as: Trinh Nang Curcumin, Trinh Nang Ginger, Trinh Nang Gac; Nano Cordyceps, Nano Ca prickly…

In addition, the “barefoot” inventor Trinh Dinh Nang is also deploying the production of Endo Fullerene super-semiconductor compounds, which are applied in most fields such as: Renewable electricity; telecommunications, automation; medical; machine manufacturing… and have had certain successes.
Handing me a carefully closed folder of documents about his research, Mr. Nang said that the superconducting Endo Fullerene carbon mixture, C60, C70 had been discovered since the 80s.
The discovery of C60 has shifted research from the search for dark matter components in the universe to an entirely new field of materials science. In 1996, three scientists Kroto, Curl and Smalley were awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for this discovery.
The discovery of C60 gives carbon a fourth form. After identifying C60 from absorption spectroscopy, the three scientists Kroto, Curl and Smalley began modeling the structure of C60.
In the process they quickly realized that the carbon elements could not be arranged in the honeycomb hexagonal pattern of graphite, but could arrange in a circular sphere in which the hexagon was interspersed with the pentagon. like a soccer ball. The new molecule was named buckminster fullerene after architect Richard Buckminster Fuller’s middle name and surname. Mr. Fuller is the creator of the spherical dome structure with hexagonal pattern. People often call C60 a fullerene or a bucky ball.
The discovery of C60 has shaken almost every branch of scientific research. Especially for organic chemistry, it has given a new life to this so classical study.
With this invention, he personally received the prestigious WIPO medal from Australia’s Unifi University |
“The study of fullerenes is actually very short, just over 20 years since Curl and Smalley’s gas mass spectrometry showed the presence of C60 and C70, but the presence of fullerenes is probably even earlier than the appearance of humans. .
It’s found in cosmic dust clouds, coal mines, soot from flickering candles, or even more modest places like coal fireplaces, country kitchens blackened by filth… People don’t. C60 is found because its content is very small and is often covered by amorphous coal,” said Mr. Trinh Dinh Nang.
However, the disadvantage of compounds C60, C70 and the current metal-doped Endo Fullerene mixture in the world can only be produced in small quantities in the laboratory and extremely expensive at 150 million USD/gram.
However, Trinh Nang High-Tech Co., Ltd., owned by him, has perfected industrial-scale production technology and is ready to meet market demand.
With this invention, he personally received the prestigious WIPO medal from Australia’s Unifi University.
Summarizing more than 20 years of passionate self-study of science, he affirmed: “I am not a scientist, I am just passionate about science, failure does not discourage me but makes me more determined”.
To get patents recognized I went through hundreds of failed trials; Particularly with the C60 and C70 fullerene Carbon composite production system, my partner and I experienced more than 4,000 failed tests. For me, the successful result of scientific research works is diligence and hard work “digging” in failure.
